I'M ALIVE

I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET AT THIS BLOGGING THIS WEEK, BUT I GUESS BETWEEN, RESTING UP FROM THE 25TH CLASS REUNION, BABYSITTING(i have darins little guy 2 nights a week), RAINED OUT BALLGAMES TO RESCHEDULE I'M JUST GETTING AT IT.

SURVIVAL OF THE FITESS, WOULD BE A GOOD TITLE FOR THE CLASS REUNION. FRIDAY NIGHT WE GATHERED AT CLUB 51 UNTIL CLOSING AND THEN MOVED THE PARTY TO OUR FRONT PORCH UNTIL 4:00. WHICH MADE THE GOLF WE HAD SCHEDULED FOR 10 THE NEXT MORNING COME EARLY. SATURDAY NIGHT, WAS THE PHS ALUMNI BANQUET, THE 25 YR CLASS OF PHS, HAS TO PLAN THE ALUMNI BANQUET, FOR THE WHOLE SCHOOL. SO IT WAS OUR TURN TO PUT ON THE SHOW. THE 50 YR CLASS IS ALSO HONORED AT THE BANQUET. IT WAS ALITTLE TO LONG AND A LITTLE WARM IN THE CHURCH. BUT WE MADE UP FOR IT AFTERWARDS, WE WALKED DOWN THE ROAD TO THE LOUNGE AT THE BOWLING ALLEY. PICTURE TIME:

COUSIN MARTY TELLING A STORY, BOY HE HAS EVERYONES ATTENTION, MUST BE A GOOD ONE.
THIS IS THE FEARLESS FIVE, (but we are missing Laurie Jo Helgerson). NOT SURE WHO NAMED US THAT 25 YRS AGO. BUT IT APPARENTLY HAS STUCK, BECAUSE WE HAD TO HAVE A PICTURE OF THE FEARLESS FIVE: TAMI PECK, ME, COLLEEN SCHROEDER, ANNIE MEYER. WELL THE PARTY CONTINUED HERE UNTIL THEY KICKED US OUT AT 2:00, THERE WAS TALK OF MOVING IT TO STONE BRIDGE(which was our big party spot in the 70's & 80's). SOME DAY WHEN WE ARE ON A DRIVE TO CASTALIA, I WILL TAKE A PICTURE OF THAT. IT'S JUST A SLAB OF CEMENT OVER A LITTLE CREEK, NAMED STONE BRIDGE. BOY THAT LITTLE SLAB OF CEMENT COULD TELL SOME STORIES. NEPHEW TONY, (joined us both nights) MENTIONED MICHAEL HAD HIS FIRE GOING EARLY IN THE EVENING AND ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS ADD FIRE WOOD, SO WE MOVED THE PARTY TO MICHAELS FIRE PIT. SAT THERE AND TOLD STORIES UNTIL THE SUN CAME UP AND IT STARTED LIGHTENING AND RAINING OR WE MAY STILL BE THERE. DOUG & I ARRIVED HOME ABOUT 6:00AM. WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME.
DAVE O'HARA AND ME, NOW THIS GUY WILL TELL YA A STORY OR 2, BUT HAVE TIME BECAUSE HE TALKS, AND TALKS. I WILL END WITH A PICTURE OF COUSIN MARTY & ME. THIS IS THE FIRST REUNION HE HAS COME TOO AND IT TOOK ME LOTS OF TALKING TO GET HIM HERE, BUT HE HAD A GREAT TIME.

WELL I BETTER GET AT THE SATURDAY CLEANING, HAVE TO GIVE THE HUSBAND, BROTHER MARK, NEPHEW TONY A RIDE TO THE GOLF COURSE FOR A TOURN THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN PICK THEM UP OF COURSE. KAYLA, KORI AND I WILL BE OFF TO ELKADER TO DO A LITTLE LOOKING AT THE BRIDAL SHOP. I THINK I WILL HAVE TIME FOR THAT COMMUTE BLOG. 20 - plus PICTURES, SO IT MAY TAKE 2 BLOGS BUT STAYED TUNED THIS WEEK.

WE HAVE A COUPLE OF QUIET WEEKENDS, THEN IT WILL BE LOONEY FEST '07, STAY TUNED FOR THAT TOO. HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND

TOODLES

This one was my first reunion and it was a lot of fun. I'm glad Marty was able to make it.

And I must say you did an AMAZING job introducing everyone in our class that was there at the banquet, with spouses and telling where they were from!

Nice little blog you have here. I'll be stopping by more often now that I have it bookmarked.
